GAP Scholarship Funding
Our mission is to “Close the Gap” within the Arts for underserved youth in Washington State through training, education and enrichment opportunities. “Close the Gap” is a progressive scholarship program that supports discounted classes and enriching opportunities for youth; preparing them to be competitive in arts education and performances.
The program serves 200 youth from our community each year. Revenue generated from donations provides quality dance programs to area youth who would otherwise not be able to afford these enriching experiences. Donations also help fund scholarships, master classes with professional artists and participation in local and national dance festivals.
Your support plays an integral role in changing the lives of young people for a better future. Please help us provide this priceless opportunity of dance to the youth in our community . Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to provide dance studio participation for a child who otherwise cannot afford it.
$50 provides for one month for one child
$300 provides for half a year of studio participation for a child
$600 provides one student’s full participation in the program for a year
Studio Capital Improvements
The studio is undergoing many changes and we need your help to ensure it's a success! We recently leased the adjacent building and will be adding a new large studio space, gathering/waiting areas, restrooms, and a smaller classroom.
The Mission Continues organization has also helped to clean up the parking lot areas and recently completed a mural on the new building! Donate now to help make all our dreams for the studio come true!
Please feel free to contact us at (206) 915-1364 or with any questions or to request additional information. THANK YOU!!!
GoFundMe Campaign: We are asking for your support to maintain studio operations and bills as we are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Considering the needs of various small business across our community, we are looking for individual, business, or community donations and grant opportunities to support the studio.
As a race and social justice oriented, service-based dance organization, our goal is to continue supporting the artists of color who provide world-class artistic and technical instruction as well as our network of family and friends that make Northwest Tap Connection a cultural hub and treasure in the south end of Seattle.
Our goal is to raise $75,000 to remain current with studio property rent, utilities, programs, and virtual class offerings as we stay home and stay healthy through this crisis.
Any support you can offer will be appreciated and will help us maintain this community hub and dedicated space that honors and supports artists of color. Thank you for your support of our mission and our dancers!
